When Little Things Turn Big

Early stages can prevent the little things from becoming big problems.

I admit that I do not like to play defense. When I was in sales I hate dealing with objections, so I work hard to eliminate them before they managed to come by. I am a good problem solver, I could prevent problems that do not like dealing with, so I work hard to play offense.

When it comes to leadership skills, learn to play offense in my opinion, to achieve a profitable skill. This, however, that everything and everyone around you will have to pay attention to.

If you comment (or something similar) a second time to hear or see a change in behavior, you need to become something. You may be wrong, but anyone who said they were upset that their owner, vendor, partner, worried about their satisfaction or happiness was never found.

Well, you sense something is developing. What do you do about it? Talk to them. Your words are less important than the spirit behind them. Just do not worry about saying the right thing. What people will respond to the fact that you care enough to bring it, and clear that you have seen it. Taking this step will often cool the problem. Even if it does not, in that it provides the opportunity to talk openly and honestly, it does not mushroom out of control.

Accept the demands of good leadership skills, do not hide your heads in the sand, the problem will go away if you ignore it, or shake your head and think it's all about them being stupid. When people know how much you care, the information that you will help prevent the little things into big things will be part of. Would you rather spend your time dealing with them after the fact would not prevent the problems?
